Finds bag!
Do you use a purpose made one or a homebrew one?
I noticed the pocket of my old Barbour coat was full of mud after my maiden outing

I use a proper one I acquired from somewhere, it's only a bag on a belt though. Beauty of it is you can turn it inside out and shake it clean

A lot of organised rallies say you MUST have a bag and put all finds in it, think it's to stop folk walking of site with unrecorded finds stashed in their pockets. Not a bad thing though to record all interesting finds, whether valuable or not. It does add to the historical knowledge of the country

Tesoro Tejon metal detector
Probably the best of Tesoro made detectors. Has signs of use but it's in fully working order. Shaft is very tight, comes with standard 9x8" concentric coil with cover and set of batteries. One of the battery cover has hinge damaged but still holds in place. Manual can be downloaded from Tesoro website. Very sensitive machine to small silver and gold.

Good of you to post the link From what I can gather they're a marmite detector, you either love them or think they're junk. Never tried one so I would give it a miss anyway, some folk swear by them though. If I remember correctly I think they can be a little too sensitive and therefore fussy, that doesn't bother some though.
