Yep thats another good way Anthony......I may be coming up with an adjustable bracket soon so people can do exactly that, not for a little while yet though as have a lot on with other gear i'm making at the moment !

I have the older type and I find it invaluable both day and night, takes out all the guess work! I would highly recommend it for air rifles.I have mine fitted to a 40 ft lb air ranger.zeroed at 50 yards so 60 ,70,80yard shots no problem .

this new smaller one does look quite nifty actually. If the adjustable mount is neat enough and makes it into a simple button press job when on target then it could be a really handy little doodad

I have had quite a few people ask me this, and yes i am working on a proto-type mount but it's hard to figure a way to help every person with many mounting positions and various rifle scopes on the market. Some want it standard on the top, some want side mount
at the moment most people are happy shimming the rangefinder to zero, others are only using at night so they don't care as you can see the ping of the
laser.......The problem I have is if the mount is too complex then i price people out of buying it, have to think hard about this one !

Yeah, not an easy thing to add on and still be nice and neat

if you do a vid i'd love to see how it works side mounted on a scope with n.v

Let me know, when you have a suitable mount to bash it on a tubed dedicated NV scope (my illuminator goes on my rail currently. I'd look at getting one of these.

To make matters more confusing.

Have you though about splitting the measuring electronics with the screen.

So the distance measuring gumf could attach to the side of the fore grip, and the read out could sit neatly above the eye piece.

Cheers,
Craig

Thought of many things but moving the readout would be a no no....too many people with too many different configurations......the readout needs to be at your eye focal length which works well in most people's setup with it being near your turrets as in most cases you will adjust them right after taking a range !

I will be making an ajustable mount for these to have perfect alignment with your scope cross hair. So no more shimming it. Then its as easy as point range and shoot !

What's the beam divergence of these? False readings from a wide beam divergence could be an issue especially in the dark? On the right terrain it could be really useful.

Beam divergence will be whatever you set it as.

If it's mounted 2" left of your scope then leave it 2" left of your scope 300m down range ( then no divergence what so ever ) so thats not even a rabbit size head so you wouldn't miss the ranged target, you wouldn't even get that kind of accuracy on a hand held device at 300m ......everyone who has
looked through a standard rangefinder and aimed the thick opaque cross hair at a rabbit 300m away will question themselves !.......however, looking through your scope cross hair at a rabbit at 300m at its body with one of these devices......do you think you will miss calculate the range, don't think so
