Deliveries from China...

Post by AirRifleSport » 09 Oct 2013, 00:39

I am still awaiting a delivery from China from an order placed on the 24 of August, purchased from AliExpress.com

The process to get my money back seems to take a long time, as AliExpress states that I have to wait 60 to 90 days from the date of purchase.

Has any of you experienced this problem? I have bee told that this is due to new implementations with China's Customs scanning each parcel hence adding delay to the shipping.

If this is true for every item purchased in China, it is very unlikely that I will be buying anything else from AliExpress.com.
...the doctor said that I need to do gentle exercise... I said to him that I already did... trigger squeezing!

So far I've not had any problems as I've not bought anything electrical in the last few weeks. The note I saw about this suggested that the delay would be a week or so but that anything customs didn't like would be returned to sender and, of course, that could well cause problems as most of the sellers will probably deny having had the parcel returned. If you paid with Paypal you could raise a dispute with them as 60-90 days is out of order.

I'll let you know how I go. I've an order for T20s through Aliexpress/LEDSupermall.com, supposed to have shipped two days ago,but the tracking number they gave me does not exist on the Swedish postal website they link to.
An order through DX 1/2 shipped last Friday with no info on the rest.
I've also an order through FastTech and one through Manafont placed today.
According to the thread on the budget lights forum FastTech are still getting batteries through. so I took a punt and ordered some 18650s through them. They are a quarter the price of bricks and mortar stores here in OZ and half the price of our local "Torchy" type.
Also ordering some pills through Ian. If he starts singing "I like Chinese" on Youtube I know that I'm in trouble. :P

If you paid with paypal, I think you have only 45 days to open a dispute.
I've had stuff take 5 weeks and had looked into the dispute process.
Orders from Fastech have been the quickest for me.

I ordered 3 T20's from aliexpress on the 7th September and still no sign of them as yet......

The last ones arrived after about a week so must have caught the fast boat!

Bugger.

Same here, Fizz. Mine were dispatched on the 9th. Normally 10-14 days from Manafont.

Update, DX have shipped the rest of my order (less one 501B shell). So even for the stuff they didn't have in stock they only took a week to get it and send it. Now to see how long it takes to get here.

This is a reply I got from fasttech for an order placed 8th sept

"Thank you for your order placed at FastTech.

As you may have noticed, your package's tracking has not been updating at Hong Kong Post's website due to an unusually long wait time at Hong Kong airport's cargo security x-ray checkpoint. At the same time, it seems that packages shipped in the past few days are flying through these security checkpoints without any noticeable delay.

Although this security check is beyond our control, we deeply apologize for the wait. To ensure your package does not spend anymore time at the said x-ray checkpoint, FastTech unprecedentedly recalled packages from Hong Kong Post and then immediately shipped them out again. As your package exits and re-enters the the Hong Kong Post system, it is now treated as a new package and thus it is expected to fly through security inspections, just like all other recent packages.

To facilitate this process, a new tracking number was assigned to your package"

I also received a reply from aliexpress last night saying that my package had been recalled and has now been posted by sweden post

So it seems the problem is beyond their control but they are finding ways around it

Cheers
