New job

Post by jdk1 » 17 Aug 2013, 08:08

I started a new job three weeks ago and i can honestly say its the first time in a good few years that i am happy to get up in the morning and go to work :thumbup: , i work for a company that sells mainly agricultural chemicals and horticultural supplies so i spend all day in the country delivering to farms and nurseries all over the south east , i have got my own little 7.5 ton top of the range (automatic , air con , phone) lorry and as long as the work gets done you are left alone to get on with it , the only downsides i can see so far are it can be heavy work (bulk deliveries of peat/compost etc if they dont have a forklift) , the very inventive places farmers hide the key to their chemical stores :crazy: , and its a lot less money than what i am used to but i think thats a small price to pay to be happy at work.

Need to take a wad of permission to shoot forms with you. Farmer needs a delivery outside of the norm? "Just sign here... "
Glad you are happy in your new job, money isn't everything, though it is most of it. :P

Pesca?

the OP, and now YOU said the magic words, which is a good bit of my philosophy in a nutshell.

i get peopl that know me, say this a lot. "you did this, that the other... WHY are you delivering food for a living?" I always respond. "because... i am not motivated by money."

they usually protest to some extent, and go on and on. I usually smile, and hold out a dollar bill crumpled in my hand...

"look... let me explain this so you understand it? THIS... is... your.. GOD... (holding out the dollar bill i unfold in their face)"

they always protest at THAT. Without taking my gaze from them? I crumple it up and toss it over my shoulder without looking... and smile.

"you all SAY that 'money doesnt matter', 'love or friends is what REALLY matters'... i dont just SAY it... i actually MEAN it."

===================================================

most people will stay at the "good" job, and not be happy. Once you are locked in to a car payment and a house payment? your OWNED by your posessions... you CANT leave. NOW, someone at work can make you miserable, because they feel like it. Your only WEAPON, and you have to joke about using it but seemingly hardly ever USE it? Is to demonstate you dont care...

its very liberating, to no longer have your house payment and car payment own YOU... peopel will look at a "rich" man, that paid "cash for his house outright", yes, its always a nice house. Same as when he buys the new nice car outright.

==================================================

you dont have to be a rich man to DO this... to be that FREE...

go out? buy yourself a 1000 dollar car... go buy a abandoned crack house, that has a solid roof and framing members...

*wash your hands as thoroughly as pontius pilate did*

=================================================

congratulations. Your now a "rich man", you bought your house an car "with cash" like THEY do it. Yes, you need a job. a man has to earn a living? But... NOW you can do whatever it is you think you want to do. Or, any job will now suffice.

will the wife leave you? Well then... "you make me laugh", or "i just want to be happy, its not about the money" turned out to be LIES dinnit?

===================================================

so? what is my TRUE motivation? (its not money) my TRUE motivation, is that i like a project! I like to learn, and i like to make, and i like to do!

i have to be learning something, it has t be somethng that most people think cant be done by the ordinary person, or, seems out of the ordinary somehow.

this night vision project? soon as i saw ROLAIDS video, it called to me... i talked about it online at my reloading site i always mention? Once i held a cell phone STEADY ENOUGH i saw the crosshairs and the target on the other side off the room... i knew it would work...

electrical? check... electronics? check... there always a WEAKNESS involved with any endeavor of a project i have, and that causes the project t be PAINFUL in some way.

===================================================

pain is weakness leaving the body

==================================================

i have the working prototype now. I have a rough illumnator working fairly well, and i am now beating commercial products, for 2 and 3 times my cost of build.

i need to make a laser from scratch now, and glue or attach it to the illuminator.

then? i can use the LED from 1 to couple hundred... after that? i simply switch off the illumiator adn switch on the laser. It takes over to go out a couple hundred more.

then i am done with prototype. The rest is inconsequential details. Busy work. That will take as long as it takes.

==================================================
Well, I understand that, boys... but see, my CAT gets the silly idea you're making fun of HIM... then he gets, *really* mean...
