Reluctance to divulge location

Can someone explain to me "WHY" there is a reluctance for new members to put there location down ?

Just reading an add on here in the sale's section on a new-ish member selling a "Wardy 800 with 10 posts, location "England".
We all start off as new members but bottom line is when buying we are paying money up front often to someone we don't know, not meaning to have a go at this new member, its just there are many more like him---------can someone please explain WHY.

Yep, i'm with you on that Dave, if you have nothing to hide then a more detailed location shouldn't be a problem + it would make the buyer more likely to buy it , after all they could live in the same Town.
