I know some are in to rc cars / heli's etc and I know Dave had something to do with them, so, I have a question.
My son knows I dearly miss the 4x4 trials, it was my passion, never had a bad trial.Did well at some (exceptionally well), fluffed others, enjoyed them all. Climbed the ladder slowly to do reasonably well overall. Have to admit shooting came second to trials.

So for Christmas and birthday combined he bought me a Tamiya CR-01 crawler, with rear steer :thumbup:
Now, I have a six channel transmitter / receiver, two channels of which are just an on / off switch. The crawler has servos on both axles, both independently operated. What I would like to do, if possible, is link the rear steer to the front steer, which shouldn't be too hard. The difficult bit comes now :lol:
I would like to make the rear steer switchable on and off, and, switchable for direction. That is, turn it off completely so steering remains straight, and,when turned on be able to alter the direction of steer in relation to the front axle.
This is to either reduce turning circle OR crab steer, all from the transmitter.

Is this possible, and if so what do I need to buy? Won't replace the trialer but still enjoyable

Blimey that's all way over my head Rod. I never messed with cars at all so can't help sorry.

I was quite old school with helicopters and too slow to learn inverted and 3D stunts. My only real sin was drag racing them to compete with another composite blade producer.

I'll pop in the local model shop, they're quite good but obviously out to make a profit. Just wanted a little info, forewarned is forearmed. :lol:

I know what you mean about old school though, things progress at a phenomenal rate nowadays :o

Rod get yourself onto an RC Forum mate there are quite a few on the net,I've got into Drones over the past year or so and frequent quite a few drone forums.
Like on here mate I've found them very helpful and even met a couple of local chaps that have taught me loads :thumbup:
Think you will find there are lots of bloke's into it up your way also using the same sort of thing your getting into
