BMW X3 thingy.

Had the insurance on the phone friday regarding courtesy car. They asked if it had to be a 4x4 or would just a car do, I told them a car would be just fine and I'd let them know what field it was stuck in so they could come and tow it out. Funnily enough they delivered a bmw x3 Saturday
Now, if anyone's considering buying one of these then DON'T. been out in it today a few times and to be honest it's junk
Seat doesn't go back far enough so you end up driving like a defender, auto stop / start keeps turning itself back on, auto door locking keeps coming back on, seats are like sitting on a scaffold board, the ride is like a skateboard, side and rear windows are like looking through a letter box, one touch indicators turn the other side on when you touch the stalk to cancel(no matter how gently), can't turn the running lights off, there's more plastic inside than in Everest windows warehouse, if you want to alter any settings you spend twenty minutes going through the menu with that stupid rotary selector, back ache comes as standard, etc, etc.

It's £230 something a day for this heap, I wouldn't give them £230 to buy it !!
My Disco was getting on for twenty years old and made this thing feel like a horse drawn cart. The Disco was like driving your favourite armchair, you just sat in comfort, put it in drive and could steer with one finger

No wonder the new Disco's are the worlds best selling 4x4, I'm not surprised at all now.

Bro had one - he couldnt get up a slippery slope that I did easily once with some womans hairdresser Shogun Pinin that doubles up as my shooting truck. She also towed him off a flat boggy field - he don't got it any more.

He dint help himself when he fitted super fat poser wheels and tyres on it though. Tink they are more of a sports utilty vehicle than a 4WD.

Used the fuhrer wagon again today and found it's got an amazing ability It's capable of driving over speed bumps at phenomenal speed
When hurtling over them, no matter how high or vicious they are, you don't get the dreaded ££££££££ vision crossing your mind when you hear that terrible graunching sound from the suspension You do lose vision for a few seconds as your eyes bounce around in their sockets, but I can live with that. Also the terrible din from all the loose items banging around is annoying, but that's a small price to pay for this incredible ability.

As to whether this is due to German engineering at its finest I don't know ............................... it could just be because it's a rental and I'll not have it a couple of weeks
