I take it you dealt with Regtons ? They're not only a very good company to deal with but also a nice company to deal with, the two don't always go hand in hand but when they do it's good

Have you bought a Euro Ace and pinpointer (plus other bits and bobs)

Don't forget to post pics of your treasure finds I can see a nvuk forum treasure hunt coming on, members only of course

That's the one so if I can't find anything it'll be your fault I didn't buy any other bits and bobs but they threw in a couple of extra bits. I've just got to get a smaller bucket for the digger now, I'm allergic to wooden handles, especially shovels

The first treasure find will be a pin out of a machine. It'll be the most feckin expensive pin I've ever bought!

There was a series on sky a little while ago with a couple of bell ends going round old battlefields and places like that with metal detectors , it was interesting but one of them had a habit of screaming at the top of his voice , doing head over heels and running round the field like he had scored the winning goal in the world cup everytime he found something that wasn't a rusty beer can

Watched that a couple of times he wants the detector ramming where the sun don't shine

Remember, slowly slowly catchy monkey If the detector doesn't go across it then it will never find it
Flat to the ground, as low as possible but as high as necessary and advance 1/2 a coil a time maximum. (especially for small stuff as the search coil forms a flattened cone, sort of like opening the top of an envelope to the size of the coil but the bottom stays narrow . If you can understand that). You want the search pattern to overlap
