Rodders, yeah i keep going back to the SJ's by default.....only trouble comes when you realise how long ago even the early 1990's was. If i could find one with good running gear that just needs welding up and/or body work i'd go for it....don't really want a project vehicle though, it needs to work for a living
Jimny's seem like the next best option, any idea what they are like to work on?

Clive, you may as well just cut out the middle man and buy a milk float mate
to be fair it would be a fairly handy tool if you can get decent tires on it, maybe a bit longer than it needs to be for our work though

I did know to one around here Adam, don't know if he's still got it or not. What's the budget seeing as it's going to be cut up ? Jimny's are an unknown to me to be honest, I finished trialling in about 2000 and something so out of touch now.

Honestly not sure what the budget needs to be yet mate.
Allowing for the work to mod it. It would be nice if was under a grand for a stock motor. but i'm not sure yet what i'll get for that....only started looking this evening.
For an SJ then 1k is more than enough i think not sure about the jimny's though

Trouble is, if its much more than that then bigger atv's and cheaper utv's start to look attractive

I'll see if the one I knew to is still about Monday / Tuesday, other than that I don't really know to any. Ebay is your friend I suppose on this one, but you need to look at it first or get in writing (PM) it's condition.

Missed one of those a few months back, it went for about £300 ish Got an Argo here Adam if you want one, runs perfectly and very tidy with a truck cab hood and screen on it (back is open). They're relatively high maintenance but go anywhere. Model is IC8 with a Kohler 17hp engine, duplex chains and hydraulic steering brakes.

Would love an argo mate (if someone else did the maintenance) but we aint got the ground for it. They need to be up on the moors and stuff, too much ground damage for us
