There are also some comments online that are saying "that programs for the Creation Pcut 630" are easier to load when using the "Bluetooth Adaptor" that is available for some of their models ??? Another old thread/blog which is over 4 years old states that some programs for the Creation models can be leased for £12 a year ??? Phil

I think the £12 a year was Artcut, but according to the makers it's out of production now.
Tried Vinyl master today and can't get it to connect to the cutter, but that's not unusual with cutters , they can be the devils own work. Going to try sign blazer tomorrow and if that's no good then cut my losses and nip round the corner. There's a big ebay seller of cutters about 1/2 a mile from us (I didn't know when I bought this), and it will be cheaper to just go buy a new plotter with accessories and software than spend hours on this one. Have to weigh up production time against messing with this and it doesn't take many hours to become inefficient.
I don't want to miss the Christmas / new year banner run, already missed the bonfire one

Have you had a look on this forum. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/to ... ion-ct630/ also have you the Blue Tooth adapter ? My sign making friend has not got back to me yet ? got a feeling that they might have more spare old vinyl cutting kit standing idle. still on the case. Phil

Bluetooth !!
I've got cutter and computer and a load of wires
Going to try again tomorrow as it appears "Baud rate ?" can have an effect. Apparently some have got them linked by changing it and making sure cutter and program match. They reckon default rate can screw things up.

It says online that a "trail test" helps to tell if there is communication between the units and that the cutter will produce a sample "cut square with a circle in the middle" There might be a lot more information online as there seems to be a lot of Creation users who have had issues. Phil

Re: Any Sign makers, vinyl lettering men on here ?
I've been through most of them Phil. It does the test, square with circle, and comes up with "laser" (when it's turned on) so printer seems ok and something's connected. It's just a case of getting them to speak the same language and from the same page, and that apparently is the hard bit. It seems from forums it's a bit hit and miss, and that all takes time, and time costs money. Can sometimes be cheaper to cut your losses and buy your way out of problems.
Tomorrows outcome will decide what to do

Called with my vinyl sign making friends this morning to twist a few arms
but have not made much progress yet
, the 2 partners were in the middle of a domestic and not seeing eye to eye with each other at all
they are a husband & wife team but there is big age difference between them and they are definitely not reading from the same page in the same hymn book right now
Thought it best to retreat and leave without adding fuel to the fire by asking questions with one of them while the other was still wanting to carry on with the debate
Will call again with them tomorrow afternoon and might take some chocolate biscuits with me to smooth things over a little bit
Will keep you posted. Phil

Thanks for all your efforts Phil but I lost my rag with it today and just went out and bought a new one. There's a big ebay seller just down the road (I know now !) so off I trotted, told them what I wanted and they sorted it. I nipped back to the works, picked up the pc and took it down to them and they installed it all
Happy now
