You need something to occupy you and cheer you up. Purely in the interests of your well being I think you should organise (host) an Autumn BBQ come shoot. You supply the bunk house in a barn, plus a pig roast, plus the drink and in return we'll all come down and drink you dry, eat you out of house and home, shoot your ground bare, metal detect every last morsel of value, wreck your quads and generally destroy the place.

That'll keep you occupied and cheer you up no end.

see how good we are to you

 simply brilliant chaps!

That cheered me up no end, in reality you'd all be welcome anytime! Not sure it would be worth the effort though as the sport is pretty dire this way. The only thing any good is the hills and bogs..

Sciatica slows me down on the hills (stops me dead) and bogs make my feet wet :( But I'd come just for the laugh, and bring a quad or two

Now that image has got me in giggling fits. The thought of Rod's arms and legs flapping violently whilst being totally disorientated tipped on his side securely 'lodged'

Obviously you were out with me last night. I got broken badly. It's taken me the whole day to recover, and I still feel rough. all my plans gone out the window. I have not been that bad in years and swear that I didn't drink that much. But my missus did point out that the hostess was very attentive and adept at refilling my glass without being noticed.

I have an awful lot of catching up to do tomorrow. Sheesh.
