FAC renewal problems
FAC renewal problems
I have just had a phone call from the new feo who is dealing with my renewal and it turns out that the farm we have used on the paperwork for the last two renewals is only cleared up to .22lr so he wont grant my renewal for the hmr even though its not been a problem in the last ten years and my mate i shoot with has put down the same piece of land with no problems (different feo)
Re: FAC renewal problems

Re: FAC renewal problems
Yup - open ticket application letter needs to be sent. It should be an automatic approval and outght to have been done by your FLO during your first renewal. I also have to say it sounds like a trainee FEO because the HMR is a lower - and safer caliber.
Get it in ASAP because this coming year is apparently an anniversary of when three year renewals changed to five year renewals - which apparently adds about 60% to the work load in those years. There are likely to be a few extra trainees or temporary staff this coming year.

I had an open ticket within six months of my original grant but he is insisting that the land you use for renewal must be cleared for the maximum calibre.sunndog wrote:well past open ticket time i'd say john. If not get him to come out and have a look

Yes i think he is a trainee because when i mentioned hmr being safer he said "yes but it's so much more powerful"some bloke wrote:Yup - open ticket application letter needs to be sent. Re: FAC renewal problems
there can't be many average farms that wouldn't get cleared for hmr surely...get him to come out and have a look
Re: FAC renewal problems
Tell him it is cleared, you cleared it. It quite clearly states on an open "on land you deem suitable" (or something like that) therefore they must trust you to clear land?
How can they put one thing in writing and then say it's not correct?
