FAC - change of conditions

Post by Jonboy82 » 27 Nov 2014, 21:23

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has had any joy in getting the conditions changed on their FAC to what people describe as an open certificate? I am on my 1st FAC, 2 years into it and on 2nd SGC.
My license is with Dyfed Powys Police if anyone has had similar dealings with them.

Look forward to any replies

Jon

I think it depends on which area you're in. It's also good to have quite a few new permissions that will take all their time up to go and check out. When I had mine opened I applied and added a letter saying I had been invited to shoot on quite a few new areas of land (not necessarily permissions, just invitations) and it would be a lot simpler to just open my ticket. It was the truth, I had been invited on other permissions along with new ones of my own. One mate offered to write a covering letter with an invitation to shoot on about 35 grounds he uses, I don't think they wanted the hassle of checking them all

You beat me, mine was 12 months. I listened, for a short while, to all those that say you'll not get it until first renewal. Then I thought ..... they can only say no ........... then I'll drive them barmy keeping on applying

I never had them check land . But all I said was the farmers can't be bothered to talk to you they are to busy and as you know I have access to little plots of land and they opened it no problems

Hi,i had mine this year with dyfed powys after having fac for four years ,shooting over about 2000 acres i was sending them permissions all the time ,in which i told them it would be easier for me to have an open ticket than them send feo out all the time to check the land.In the end they sent me out a form to fill regarding safety aspects and the lay of the land you shoot on.They finally gave me an open ticket

That's more or less what I did in the end. Told them I had permission / invitations to lots of little bits of land and they would be easier to just open it. Then they just opened my ticket. Don't think they could be bothered driving around to check.
