Hello
decided that since if I go shooting in daylight there is too many ramblers and no bunnies, I'd better find out how to see in the dark so then there will be bunnies and no ramblers (hopefully)

So now just need to get my head round all the options and decide what my meagre budget allows..

Yup, welcome and have a good look round, there is tons of info on here and some excellent DIY setups that won't break the bank.
