NV and Thermal evening in Suffolk

Post by boro » 11 Feb 2014, 15:11

Busy at work at the moment but thought I would put this up just in case anyone is interested. Good guest speakers and plenty of knowledge will be present. The evening is FREE and to avoid oversubscribing BASC are e-mailing free tickets to ensure that the evening runs smoothly.

BASC Night Vision and Thermal Imagery awareness evening

Wednesday 26th February 2014

Wood Farm Barn, Benacre, Suffolk, NR34 7BL

Admission FREE

7pm to 9pm

B.A.S.C Eastern are holding a seminar in Suffolk on Wednesday 26th February 2014 covering the safe and efficient use of Night Vision and Thermal Imagery units. The event, believed to be the first of its kind in this country at Wood farm Barn on the Benacre estate, Suffolk, is designed to raise awareness in this little documented yet accelerating facet of wildlife management across not only the UK but the world.

The evening is aimed at anyone who partakes in any aspect of wildlife/vermin control. Guest speakers will highlight the latest developments within the NV and Thermal imagery world, safe and proper use of firearms and vehicle safety.

Co host Simon Whitehead explains “This evening is one not to be missed by anyone with an interest in managing wildlife. The world moves on and the days of illuminating the countryside to manage rabbits, rats or foxes is drawing to a close. The aim of the evening is to raise awareness of using NV/Thermal Imagery/firearms and vehicles in the field, hopefully leading to a code of safe practice to avoid any unwanted incidents due to the innocent unawareness of its usage nationwide.”

I hope so. Life has been hectic but hopefully by putting this together some sort of code will be born and help stop some of the unfortunate accidents that seem to be on the rise due to the inability of seeing beyond a pair of eyes.

Due to popular demand this evening is now fully booked. Later on this year another will be held somewhere more central to the region.

Well someone dropped out so I'll be there with my photon and doubler. This is quite close to me and right next to a shoot I had so a definite result. Hope to see a Drone pro and maybe look through one. Should be an interesting evening hopefully.
