yep, mind you, i never stood a chance. for my 13'th birthday i was given a six cyl 2A truck cab as a project. it was an ex breakdown truck and still had the harvey frost on on the back. i'v still got it now

my first real road car was a 1966 88" truck cab. still got that too
i'v never owned a "car" in me life, just landy's and motorbikes.....its all a real man needs lol

i remember riding my little 650 savage to work one winters morning (wish i'd kept that plucky little bike)

anyway, so i pull into work and re-light the roll-up i'd been smoking on the way. when one of the lads turns to me and say's, you must be effing freezing riding that at this time of year....i said, well my only other option is a 40 year old land rover. so its not much different really

It's about right  Only difference between the two is you don't have to wear a helmet in a Land Rover

True that. A flat cap in lieu of a helmet and a roll up to see by when the lights fail is the height of Landy fashion. :P

Mmmmm trying to think of a Australian 4x4 or a car for that matter    used to collect LRM and seem to remember a lot of landrovers in Australia but were really too much money for skin flints  ,mines a 88 its lifted on parbolic springs and galvo chassis defender seats and a 200tdi one baffle at the back on the exhaust which wakes the dead and have a full headlight upgrade using latest bulbs available which I cannot spell Ali summit
Two and half million made and three quarters of these still on the road, can you say the same about your 4x4
