Sorry to hear about the busted sensor,
My above post is about a second camera that I've now ordered
Due to the same problems I guess you had,
Except I only got half the ir glass off, man I royally f--k mine up ,anyway sc2000 we're very helpful an promised to remove the filter for me this time.
But the price for a new sensor board an a new box camera was 50$ an 60$ respectively.
' I went for the new whole unit anyway'
(Man that's some good glue there using hey!)
I am not too sure that some filters are actually stuck with glue. There is a chance that they are actually JUST butted together... nothing in between them. I saw a video about grinding optic lenses and the two parts only required a COMPLETE SPOTLESS (clean)
surface on the two glasses. These required heat to price them apart.

I have removed previous filters with the soldering iron... Just applied heat with a blob of solder until the top glass just lifted off while holding it with tweezers.

Some filters are just stuck down with double sided tape. These types come off easily with a craft knife.
Well I won't be going near an ir filter for some time least not an expensive one , but just for anyone else I think I under cooked the filter then kept too little heat on the glass for too long an somehow fused the two together.guess Iam saying don't do what I did

The camera I ordered off you arrived this week but I had a problem when trying to remove the IR filter which was very, very well glued on. The “lens board” has been damaged when IR filter was finally removed so can you please send me a replacement. I don't mind paying for a new lens board but I don't need everything else (lens, board enclosure, bracket and leads etc)?

This time can you supply the lens board without the IR filter fitted as you say you can supply it without the IR filter if requested when ordered.

Obviously I don't expect this to cost as much as the original order.

My order number was - 248454

I do find this DIY NV all very frustrating at times. I am almost there with a good cheap (< $20) board camera (ICX633 with OSD CXD4140) and I did not purchase it from securitycamera2000. The cameras from China are a bit hit and miss and I have been dissapointed with 50$ offerings in the recent past.

If I was securitycamera2000 I stop faffing about and pull my finger out and do some testing at dark o'clock, with moonlight, no moonlight, IR illumination etc so that I could offer a good quality, low cost camera to the buying forum members who cannot quite afford the KT&C cameras.

Securitycamera2000 you are missing a golden selling opportunity here.
