Welcome in Bob, grab a chair n sit down, it's quite a shock when you realise you are infected!

STAGE

1) join nv forum , read a loada stuff you don't understand and think "I can't do this!".
2) read one of the home build threads with pictoral guide and think " I'm gonna have a pop at this"
3)bolstering your new found determination will be other members (old and new) offering their encouragement and tips on where to get the best deals.
4/5/6) iv'e linked these stages as they will be just a blur of ordering bits and bobs from china, waiting for the postman, wandering up and down the aisles of b&q, wickes and the local plumbers merchant, maplins is also on the hit list. Reading the forum while silly o'clock , getting to grips with terms like "back focal length", 850 nm, 940 nm, aspheric lenses, blah blah blah.
7) it's at this point you realise you are infected and have been since you sat on that chair!
8)take over a table and fill it with soldering irons ,bits of wire, duct tape, jubilee clips, waste pipe fittings, dismantled camcorders, strips of Velcro, 2 pack glue, rubber o rings etc etc. ( some serious infections require a whole room!)
9) assemble your new project with care and affection ( like bathing a 20 year old virgin!).
10) take care to remove all price tags and hide receipts from prying eyes.
11) attach project to rifle and zero ( you could be revisiting stage 4 at this point!)
12)out into the night and nobble your first bunny and feel the overwhelming taste of success
13) read forums while 3 o'clock in the morning encouraging new members into the cauldron of night vision!

I'm only kidding!.... welcome in Bob, grab a chair n sit down...john
