Re: ps-22 no tube £400
what type of tube goes in this? iv got a tube coming on monday of a friend who works in opticks but he dont know what it is- he says it came out of a kite but works very well.

Probably this:

I don't think a Kite tube will work in a PS22, IIRC they only fit the Kite and an early version of the PVS7. Karl Moore may be able to confirm or correct me.

Some more info, from a post by Flex297/Last Lancer on a US forum:
PS-22 uses MX-10130-type tube. Here is mine, after having been re-equipped with MX-10130D OMNI VI autogated Pinnacle. The original tube was Russian EKRAN EPM223G-13-35V Gen2I.
From a Russian list that means 36lp/mm and 20,000 gain for the original tube.
MX10130 specs are here:

Try comparing them to the kite tube. It may work.

Re: ps-22 no tube £400
I had a ps22 with a 10130 omni vii tube in it....it was excellent. It was a shared ownership thing, so ended up selling it
Re: ps-22 no tube £400
i understood some could use 10130 and some had to use a rusian tube that was thinner - just depends on the model. kite tube might fit but everything would be upside down
