new bod
Re: new bod
Not anymore sadly, I left 10 years ago and there wasn't much to save even then.
Think laser is out as I am shooting amongst horses and cattle.
I am looking for something similar to the 800 but not got a huge amount of time or skill, Pref invisible to the eye as the foxes and rabbits on are lamp shy.

My mother in law comes from Yorkshire, it was always cold and damp when I went to see her
moved her down this way a couple of years ago. Much better plan. But that is another story.
There is a lot of people who want the illuminator to be completely covert. I don't think you need worry about it. In general a little red glow is not going to spook the bunnies. I was out tonight and of more concern was the noise of the ejector slamming back and forth. They ignore me completely with the nightmaster.

Re: new bod
You need a 940nm light for complete covert, Pulsar make one. Rolaids is a member on this forum and uses one in his youtube vids, have a look to see the ranges he achieves.
The Illumination sub forum is well worth visiting. There are drop in options for changing the LED and head on various cheap torches.

Re: new bod
Thanks for all the welcomes chaps, looks good Sundog, first time I have seen one on a rifle. Rifle looks tasty too!
It's not damp up here at the moment, didn't drop under 20 last night.
