80s tv sea monster ???

Post by rodp » 31 Mar 2013, 17:08

Right gents, collected this today and was told the reason for it being painted snot green was that it was a sea monster in some childrens tv series. It's been done in a vile green emulsion sort of paint with a white belly pan with black lines painted on to look like scales, Apparently it also had a structure on it to look monster like. It does have an outboard bracket on that looks like it was used in filming so it must have been filmed in the water as well. Oh, it's mid eighties
so a while back.

I need to know what this was in, just out of curiosity, and to give it a name

It was a series apparently ? I remember one based in Scotland where some old geezer (Sika Stag ? ) had a pet monster in the loch, I'm sure the kids used to watch it now and again .
