i have some flexible plumbing pipe that i have removed from my house, the outside diameter is 20mm and internal is about 15mm ish, it is white plastic with an aluminium layer in it and then another plastic layer inside,it is flexible but the aluminium makes it stiff and will hold its shape if bent. apparently it is a German design and was/is used in underfloor heating. if you think its any good i can post it.

Thanks bud but it has to have a bit of give I have a set of Swagger sticks that pivot on to springs to allow movement without moving the sticks however as I sit and have the rifle rested on my lap as I am scanning , the rifle is top heavy and the springs cant hold it the result is the rifle twisting and falling , I have tried layers of shrink tube but still too soft see pic
