Hello Peter and welcome to the forum.

The easier route is to have an add-on for your dayscope and a spotter unit. There are lots of projects, both add-on and spotter, on the forum. Built, tried and tested by the clever lads on here.

I'm afraid that you're going to have to get comfortable and do some reading.

Hi Peter, welcome to the forum mate. I'll bet your less dyslexic than some of us so don't worry about that too much, I also cant absorb large blocks of text.

Your requirement is easy peasy if you are any good at simple DIY. Put the kettle on, fluff up the cushions, go back and finish making the cuppa, get the biscuits out and read this:

http://nightvisionforumuk.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1873. Ask any questions about that rig on that thread please mate.

It looks a bit heavy with that platform but a little ply is not heavy - it's integral, dead easy to screw into, shape and paint. Black ABS pipe would be easier to work with than the thin wall steel pipe though.
Slip it off the rifle for a scan about, and when off the scope it will very rarely need artificial light for air rifle ranges. Slip it back onto your scope when your about into range.

Hi Peter

Welcome to the forum.

Location Scotland. Thats a bit vague.
Can you narrow it down a bit to where in Scotland. Unless you would rather keep it a secret.

Why does the title of this thread make me think the next sentence should be "And I drink meths"

Welcome Peter, no offense meant, just my sense of humour
"Land Rover, the worlds best 4x4 by far"

"Argo, a great 8x8"

Ah, there are meths about - oops sorry there are NV mono spotters around that can be slipped behind a scope. More rubber necked people than me have used them for quite some time so no doubt some one more experience in that department will be along soon - slurp. 8-)
