Thermion Wanted
Thermion Wanted
Hi I am looking for a Thermion scope so if anyone is looking to move one on then drop me a msg.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Thermion Wanted
Still looking for one of these....
Re: Thermion Wanted
There are 6 different models of Thermion scopes ranging in price form £2650 to £4540, with base magnifications between x2 and x5.5
I think you need to be a bit more precise with your question - such as:
What is your budget?
What do you want to shoot with it and at what minimum and maximum ranges?
Cheers
Bruce

Re: Thermion Wanted
Hi Bruce
Thanks for your reply.
I would say nearly all the foxes I take are within 150m.
So I think I am correct in saying that the ideal scope would be the XP50? However I don’t know if I could justify 4K plus on one.
I know the XM50 is a good scope but maybe suited to
More longer range shooting.
An XQ50 is probably a good model to have that would get the job done for me. I would probably purchase any of the 3 models listed there is the price was right.
I have a drone pro 15 and looking to move over to using thermal scopes now.
Thanks

Re: Thermion Wanted
For foxes out to 150m, the XQ50 would be my choice or, if money was tight, the XQ38.

Re: Thermion Wanted
McLeods are generally pretty sharp with their Pulsar pricing
Expect to pay around £2600 for an XQ50 and £2300 for an XQ38.

Re: Thermion Wanted
Yeah there are very good to deal with!
Only issue just now is nobody has an XQ50 in stock.
I was also looking into an Infiray tube TL35

Re: Thermion Wanted
Performance wise, the TL35 is equivalent to an XQ50
Contact Ian Blackwood at Blackwood Outdoors - I believe he has them in stock.
Because of Brexit, Pulsar are having major issues getting export licences from the EU for weapon scopes, so Trails and Thermions may be in short supply for a while to come.

Re: Thermion Wanted
The Infiray is reasonably priced but I am a bit reluctant at the moment as these are new to the market.
The pulsar units are proven and I’ve had a couple of hand held units and never had any bother with them!
Which makes me lean towards pulsar. Also for resale I think you would be able to move on a pulsar much easier than a infiray
