Evening all,
New to the site and just wanted to say hello, a few folk suggest this site so thought i would pop in and join.
Mainly pest control, lamping foxes, some stalking etc.
Will be looking back at posts and asking daft questions shortly as looking to possibly invest in some NV soon.

Hiya - welcome to the forum - there are thousands of historical builds on here, or details of commercial rigs too if that's what you are after.
The only daft questions for a complete NV newbie are the one's you were daft enough to get stuck into without asking whats what about your options and getting a raft of advice from lots of people using the very thing you decide to find out more about.
And there's even some people on here who speak Scottish.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I'll jump in and maybe save you some time and reading.
From your description of what you shoot, I'd suggest your first purchase should be a thermal monocular to help you spot your quarry.
You can use it for all the types of shooting you listed and importantly is legal to use for spotting deer in Scotland.
However, you can't use a night vision or thermal scope to shoot deer in Scotland.
Cheers
Bruce

Thanks gents, just wade in there bruce. I like that no messing about. My initial instinct after several discussions with friends was to get an add on but as my current schmit and bender does not have parralax that hinders that idea somewhat. I quite like my scope but when lamping i find it very heavy and cumbersome with the lamp etc so the easiest option was the add on.
Well is the rifle and mod a bit heavy too? Yes Oh well i may as well get a full new set up..... Haha
Basically i just wanted to make as few changes as possible but not sure its gonna work like that.
Cheers for the replies.
