Politicians.

Devils avocate.
Why do these "has-been" politicians keep gobbing off in the hope that someone might be slightly interested in what they have to say.
B-liar and now Milli-bland stirring the poo about Brexit.
Am I alone in thinking they should be put out to grass with all the other knackered out redundant donkey's and told to stay there and shut the F up ?

Well what about the 800 plus Lords having £300.00 per day each as well ?, and if Blair and Bush were required to be in the front line of any attack into a foreign country the chaos that has been caused would have been thought about a bit harder before the events that have unfolded, didn't Blair visit Gadhafi in his desert tent ?

Millions like you Chas, but majority not making enough stink to political representatives. House of lords are a waste of time & money.

Phil, they had it right when they said "Lions led by donkeys" !!

Lords should be abolished now, not needed any longer. If I'm correct in remembering my history Lords was a throwback to the days when Parliament was introduced. The lords of the manor didn't take kindly to their powers being diminished and the house of lords was their bit of parliament, a means of blocking laws that would further reduce their power to rule.
Obviously over the years the members have "re-branded" themselves to try and fit in with democracy, they now state they're there to keep an eye on MP's for us, the people, to make sure we're not trodden down  . Leopards never change their spots though, and there's still only one reason why the house of lords exists, and that's to make sure those that see themselves as "the ruling class" do ok and they're elitist lifestyle isn't damaged by anyone or anything.
We don't need the house of lords now, any trouble making MP's can simply be voted out, unfortunately for them they're now surplus to requirements and as such should be thrown on the scrap heap.

I remember reading somewhere that retired EU politicians HAVE to support the EU to retain their very generous pensions.

800 plus Lords are costing £240,000 plus per day in expenses/wages(when they all turn up), each of these titled men and women would have one or two staff assistants ect. Add on the cost of providing office space and the usual facilities for them to organise their paperwork and general wellbeing and the £240,000 plus per day would have to at least double plus a few tens of thousands for heating and lighting ?
So probably the House of Lords cannot operate for less than nearly £3,000,000 a week.
As Stephen said in Braveheart "He did not know much about anything ?, but thought that they were all fooked anyway"
 :o
