Hi all.

Hi guys,

Quick introduction-mid thirties bloke that lives in 'sunny south west wales'. Been into hunting/pest control since I can remember. Mostly foxing these days but still enjoy picking up the Theoben when time allows. Been contemplating going 'night vision' for a while now as I believe it would help pick up those lamp shy gingers.
Seems to be a lot of extremely knowledgeable guys on here, so be prepared to be asked lots of 'dumb' questions :P
Think I've decided on Yukon Photon as it's a relatively cheap intro into the world of nv and I could also use it during the day?

Anyway, look forward to learning off you lot

Cheers.

Welcome,

Photon is usable during the day. Not great, but usable.

To get the best from one it needs the extreme conversion.

See the threads on here by our senior librarian 'radagast'

Enjoy your shooting.
Ken.

Cheers guys.

Yeah, I realise they ain't brill in the day, but I'd say 80% of my foxing is done in the hours of darkness. So long as they're 'useable and accurate' I can take the downsides for daylight hours.

Was very interested in the ones 'cliveward' has for sale, may message him for more info.
