We'd say two fifty.....as the first reply. Two hundred and fifty for clarification.

$250 dollars does not equal $2.50 dollars, but we'd say "two fifty" is acceptable for both. The differential is generally though to be understood. For example, I go to the gun store and ask the guy, how much for the shot gun? He's going to say two fifty. I should know he means $250 not $2.50. And vis versus, if I go to the store and ask the guy, how much is a gallon of milk. He's going to say two fifty. I should know he means $2.50 not $250.

" 0 " <<<is that Zero or Null to you guys?

If I went to our gun store and asked for a gallon of milk he'd say " P**s off halfwit before I shove it where the sun don't shine" !!

Another thing we never say over here is "twenty five hundred" we'd say "two thousand five hundred" or "two and a half thousand/grand/K" but never the X number of hundreds thing

When my brother was alive and living in Tacoma Seattle ( 27 years ) neither of us could understand why the people over there just couldn't understand the double as in double t. When we where asked to spell our surname Pitt they always spelt it Piw it used to crack us up ,and confuse them even more because they couldn't see what we were laughing about

Here, the store and the gun store are two different places. Unless you are a Hillbilly or from the Black Country.

Yeah...we have these things called children. Little buggers suck up moo-juice a pint at a time.

We got a bad habit of allowing lobbyists to tell us what to do and what to eat. A long time ago, Dairy lobbyist told us to "Drink milk" and eat cheese. It has the protein and calcium to build strong bones. That "Drink Milk" thing is still being pounded into 'Murican society today, beit marketing or adults regurgitating what they learned in the past, onto the younger generation.
