Screw in DSA for MTC and some Hawke scopes.
These DSA's are made to screw into the ocular adjustment wheels of MTC and some Hawke rifle scopes.
They have an extended thread so that if a very hard knock damages the thread, the front can be faced back a little to expose fresh threading. Note how I wasn't being dainty about handling the scope with one fitted - I was very surprised at how strong those fine threads are.
A video imparts more than text and photo's can so have a quick look - It starts with the last production stages in a CNC machine that cost about £40K.
They are available now and introduced at £24 each - or £34 with a Floplas fitting that has had the moulding marks and ribs machined off + £6 RMSD.

We'll done Dave, nice little gap in the market filled there. Just the job for anyone thinking of going down the add-on route with either of the the above scopes
Well done mate

Cheers me dear. I'm well impressed with what he can do.
He's looking at my collet chuck one's next - with a slightly coarser thread than the others. Now I have the MTC covered we can possibly avoid having to make the screw cap big enough to pass over their 46mm knuckles that would foul some centrefire bolt actions if low mounts are used.

FairPlay that's well engineered and thought through, nice video too, well done

Very similar to the one Marky supplied with my Nite-Tek nt300 for my mamba scope !

What are the thread specs for the hawkes?.......bet it won't fit the odd size threads of a tac 30.

If they measure 38mm diameter then it's likely to have the usual 0.75mm optical thread pitch that many lens adaptor rings have.
Re: Screw in DSA for MTC and some Hawke scopes.
No.....the tac is m35.8 and pitch 0.6....I got hold of a spare screw on dust cap years ago and drilled out the centre, stuck that into a filter ring then used a male/male macro ring to connect to more filter rings to make a tube which then screwd into a tamron cctv lens.
Been waiting for something like your dodah to come along and they have....but never to fit the tac 30's ...oh well,I might try a wardy jobbie at some point instead of a screen etc.
