Do you have anymore for sale, or was this just a "chance-find" ???

I'll see if I can make the shim first, not too brilliant at a mere 1mm wall thickness. lol.

Sorree - it was a lucky one off find. lol.

I have the 'pre-production' proof of concept/test one: Basically the same thing that was originally made in two parts, you can see the gap between them just behind the threaded portion. It is made to fit a 44mm eyebell. The tube part is not quite as well finished as the rest and has a few scuff marks.

There are no shims - let me know your eyebell diameter if that looks OK for you please and I'll see what can be done to make it suitable for one EDIT: (other) scope.

Think I found out why it was a left over - the inside jaws was lightly tapered so i had to chase that up too lol.

It's done anyway.

A new batch of these will be available tomorrow night. They look even better than the originals.
They will be made as default to fit 45mm diameter plain/uncluttered eye bells with no illuminated retical module or silly ridges like the MTC's have.

As many DIY builders feel the need to fool around with plastic pipes etc I'm not going to cause every buyer to incur the extra cost for a collet if they don't need one - or its the wrong size for their scope. The buyer needs to measure his eye bell diameter with a vernier please - or get a machine shop to measure it.

Reducing collets will be custom machined at £10 each if ordered at the same time.

They have a 50% coarser/faster clamping thread and are made from Acetal which is not hydroscopic so will not 'grow loose' at the rear end like the original nylon one's. Acetal is cleaner to machine so the thread is better defined and smoother.

Price for the new spec base price raises £5 to £40 - but is supplied with a standard Floplas ribbed end cap fitting.

An optional extra is a machined smooth end cap fitting at £10.

RMSD will be £7

Unable to expand new post link to see what scopes are catered for by your new kit some bloke. Spent all bleddy weekend gluing and machining flop last only to discover that you have casually slipped a googly past long leg. Looks the business - now back to the stone age. Love your sleek black stuff - collets are exclusive and precision. Am somewhat jollied now that you have clarified MTC scope issue and my jolie laide rats nest is a joy to behold and not quite obsolete yet - ooh la la. Bring it on.
