Tree hugging animal lovers at it again

Post by hibbydunk » 17 Apr 2015, 23:55

Just thought I would fly this one and se if we could get a bit of a laugh like the one on the foxes with collars.

checking out the football gossip on the bbc interweb yesterday morning and spat my cornflakes out when I saw "Campaign to Re-introduce European Lynx to Uk" and worryingly 69% of repondents said yes it was a good idea.

Incredible on so many fronts.

1. Firstly haven't we learnt from all the cock ups like our red squirrel getting killed off by greys. Bloody muntjacs all over the place. More red kites in the skys over Bucks than planes using heathrow and all the other so called re-introductions that have exterminated what unique species we have left. Ummm minx oh yeah they are killing off all our unique water voles. American crawfish killing off our unique river crawfish. The list of cock ups is probably endless. For the cons apparently wild cat and pine marten would be possible fodder for them. Hey they are in need of conservation aren't they. Good call lets bring in something we dont need and kill off more of what we do.

2. If you read the lets have em back charity website lynx's were apparently last in the uk in 700. Had cameras and that then in 700 did they. So ours were definitely the same as Europes then, oh squirrels again.

3. None of these things they want to introduce have natural predators here anymore so give ten years and the barstewards will be in your back garden eating your cat dog or grandchildren.

4. Big job for all of you that like shooting charlie just to keep them in control and off sheep. Oh it will be illegal to shoot them of course until the first animal lovers child gets atacked. No scrub that lynx's are probably more important than children.

5. When I was akid i would spend all day out in the woods and the playing fields and resevoirs fishing with my mates and my parents didntworry as it was highly unlikely I would get attacked by a bear, wolf, lynx or any of the other stupid things that these minority wacko groups want to re-introduce.

Theres a reason none of these things are in the uk anymore because they are dangerous so we got rid.

Anyway try and give me a laugh cos the fact that anybody thinks this is a good idea in a geographically small country that is getting fuller by the day is just plain mad

Heres the first laugh they call themselves conservationists, ehhhhhhhh the last british lynx kicked the bucket around 700 there is nothing to conserve. The best conservation is letting your existing wildlife get on wit it with out introducing foreigners willy nilly. ohhhhh i should stand for UKIP.

Yes the missus revoked my hallpass forvgoing out shooting tonight so I am bored.

 You have jogged my memory a bit, I am just now remembering that many years ago I had a "missus" who was very keen on trying to "revoke" many of my social hobbies and leisure pastimes for no good reason, in fact she was rather meddlesome on lots of issues. I eventually managed to cure her of her failings  I seem recall in technicolor details the very refreshing effects of the day that I told her that she should find herself a new husband, her whole outlook on the peace and tranquillity of family life changed overnight. Very short lived though she didn't seem to understand that hobbies and leisure time are important and to be enjoyed. She has been living in Cornwall for the last 33 years, I will have to phone her sometime and ask her how she is getting on. Thanks Phil

(ps. good woman really, dam fine cook, just very pro active on being very meddlesome) Ah well

Just think, if you get dire wolves, cave lion and scimitar cats cloned and released, then all the tree huggers will soon find their place in the ecosystem- as piles of scat.
