I have a 16mm that I used on my watec do you have the CS mount to take it as the 700 is a lot smaller

Didn't you like the small 16mm ? I like it because it gives you a full screen .

I will be interest to see how you get on with the cs lens adaptor john.

I have looked at the 16mm cs lens and the 16mm m12 lens off ebay and they both have the same surface area of glass, so cant see that there's much to gain from it, not unless I'm missing something. good idea as a spotter though.
