"Dual mode" Remote tail cap switches for 501b

Post by some bloke » 20 Dec 2013, 18:11

These Dual mode pressure switches have a choice of two modes.

The usual 'keep pressed on' switch is contained in the lower profile portion whilst the taller easy to feel for portion has a 'press on-press off' switch that doesn't require constant pressure. Interestingly - the user can apply light pressure to that taller switch to momentarily turn it off - perhaps while manoeuvring the rifle.
Whilst there is an audible click, it is quieter than the tail cap click. (Having now tried them all - I should say they are marginally quieter)

I took 20 to see how they go, I have tried all of them - with a good wiggle of the wiring too.

Ebay price is £16.
Forum members Price is £14 by RMSD delivery,
OR £12 by first class small parcel post signed for if the buyer specifically states he will chase it up/claim or accept its loss if it doesn't get delivered.

Plenty in stock - Buyer pays pp charges.

I have bought some of these off Sikastag - they're excellent   you can swap the tailcap internals into NM800IR'S too ;)

T20 ones - the switching bit's the same ;)

I've got some 50b tail switches (moment only) from when I was messing with different IR torches a couple of years ago I'll take one to bits & see if the internals fit the NM800 tail cap

Cheers lads, 3 packed up ready for posting vis RMSD tomorrow morning.

At over £6 each package RM is making a quiet killing out of the way so many other packages go missing - even signed for ones. :?

The more expensive postage at least stops the occasional thieving postie from making me replace it again. I'm now out of pocket by over £300 due to 'no delivery signature' being open to so much abuse.

It's be interesting to know how some of the other vendors fare with that issue.

You have a very specific problem Dave, its not a generalised one with RM.

I post and receive far too many things each year (without ever losing even a single parcel in my entire lifetime) to think the system doesn't work. I appreciate things do go missing within RM but your example certainly isnt typical.

If you have lost so much stuff that you cannot trust RM regular delivery methods then I think you should open an enquiry with them, its not normal for this to happen, if it was then RM would go out of business. I dread to think the number of things I have purchased this year alone, 90% of them with regular 1st class postage from a whole host of different sellers - not one single package hasn't arrived.
