I am looking for a roof mounted lamp to go on my lightforce remote handle, I have a lightforce 170 but am needing something brighter, maybe a lightforce 170 HID or a lightforce 240 blitz.
Other suggestions may be considered.
Pm me with details or post on thread
Cheers

I went out with someone using a blitz recently - it was outrageous how bright it was. He's one of those guys who just likes boys toys I think because he's now looking for even more from HID.

i'm sure bruce (pheonix) on here has a HID blitz and he reckons he's never seen owt brighter

Was that a standard blitz he was using, could you see ok through the scope at closer ranges or was it so bright it affected the image, could it be narrowed down enough so it didn't light up the full field.some bloke wrote:I went out with someone using a blitz recently - it was outrageous how bright it was. I am thinking I may go for the standard blitz and see how I get on with it, I could always do a hid conversion at a later date if needed.

I have just pm'd Bruce with a few questions about the hid 240 but the more I think about it and look at the price's the standard blitz 240 it looking more favourable, I am only wanting it to lamp fox's, hares and maybe a few rabbits on some land that can only really be driven when its been cut. The majority of my shooting can be done with night vision on the rifle and a roof mounted ir/camera/screen on dash type set up.sunndog wrote:i'm sure bruce (pheonix) on here has a HID blitz and he reckons he's never seen owt brighter

He was using a 100 watt bulb in it. Apparently the 100 watt is the newer type that has the filament facing a different direction than the standard one.THE GRIFF wrote:Was that a standard blitz he was using, could you see ok through the scope at closer ranges or was it so bright it affected the image, could it be narrowed down enough so it didn't light up the full field.some bloke wrote:I went out with someone using a blitz recently - it was outrageous how bright it was.
