He might have got it a few weeks ago when people were crying out for them.
Market shortage seems to fetch higher prices - I think it happens quite a lot with cars and such. Fair play to the guy if he cops someone who wants to jump a queue if he paid £400 for it, don't like it and makes 20% ish profit.

I would give them a ring tomorrow to check whether they are actually in stock or if you have just been put on the list.

This is what they said, on here, on September 2nd:

"FYI we have another large batch arriving with us tommorow, however as we have over 100 orders to furnish, this next batch will not cover them all of course, so as we make clear at time of ordering, its first come first served.

So to clear up any rumours, if you are in the next batch of orders to get a Photon, you will get a call today or tommorow to pay balance.

We tell all customers ordering that if they WISH to leave a deposit, they can but any new orders will be into October now.
