Pilkington Kite Mk4 4x

Post by tsuobi » 17 Sep 2024, 13:58

A Pilikington Kite Mk4. 4x mag.

Chevron reticle

Comes with:

Straight and angled eye piece. Shutters have been removed but will be included.

Soft case

Hard case

Instructions

Original NATO mount

Quioptic Picatinny Mount. This is the one fitted with the small piece of picatinny rail fitted to it.

No idea what tube is fitted to it. What they came with 20 years ago is all I can say.

Fully working but at 4 mag only really good out to 100 yds on fox type things. It will need some IR too unless moon is bright.
I used it very lightly and its been sat stored in a cupborad from at least the past 10 years. Only used on rimfire on rabbits when I did use it. Its a bit of a lump as you can appreciate and more suited to a more sedentary/stationary mode of shooting.

The photo through the eye piece was taken during the day with the protective day shield fitted. Will add night time shots after tonight

Hi, is there any issues with the unit turning on, does if fire up straight away, sometimes the power supply to the tube starts to brake down?

Pippa,

It still powers up fine. I have never used another so I have nothing to compare it to though
