WANTED FLIR SCOUT TK or HIKVISION 6 mm thermal spotter

Post by Silvio88 » 01 Mar 2021, 06:01

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to purchase a second hand thermal spotter
Looking for either the Hikvision 6mm or the Flir scout Tk.

I know people on here recommend to save a bit more and go for something better/more expensive.

But after a lot of consideration I came with the decision that I would give one of the above a try before committing to purchase anything to expensive.

So if you have either one of the above thermal spotters or something in the same/similar used price bracket of the Flir scout tk or tge 6mm hikvision please get in touch.

Cash waiting
Cheers

You're wasting your money.
The HIK 6mm or TK scout is good for is USELESS for any sort of shooting in the UK.

There’s a few on e-bay from £300.
As you’ve not said how you intend to use it I can’t comment on how useful it’ll be and presumably you’ve researched it both on this forum and the wider web; “buy once cry once” is always good advice. I should add that I’m guilty as anyone of not always following it.

Hello

Thanks everyone for the help and advice.

Again I know I should wait and maybe save a bit more and get something better/more expensive.

But I’ve decided to look for a second hand entry level to test the waters and get used of the thermal vision.

I can always upgrade down the line selling it back and getting something better without loosing to much cash.

Sorry if I missed some other comments from anybody but I cannot access emails at the moment.

I’m looking to use this on the 3 perms I have, mainly rabbits and to spot squirrels on a woodland.

Max range would be 60/80 yards for rabbits and much closer for squirrels.

I wish I could spent more... But decided that entry level thermal is better then no thermal.
