They're about as easy to find as rocking horse s**t
Only 12 were ever made and I think that those that have them would only sell if they were also getting rid of their Dron pro.

Cheers

I know but thought was worth a try. No one seems to have a bad thing to say about a drone pro but I've had nothing but trouble with mine holding zero. I'm about ready to sell it and try something else, the mount was my last try

I have had a mount from Niel and at present I use a pica tinny rail from Apex which is very good considering the stick it gets. I had a problem with it holding zero and discovered it was the aftermarket torch (T74) which was too heavy. It took while to work out as I would zero the drone during the day with no torch mounted and then shoot at night with a torch and discovered the recoil was too much (Tikka 22-250) and that was with Neils mount.

Hmm ok that's interesting.
I use a t72 it's been fine for nearly a year until
it suddenly started to move zero an inch or 2 here and there but progressively got worse until one night it went 8 inches left. Turned out to be a loose objective ring or something all sorted by Carl and sent back. Crosshair was always pretty central on the screen but now every time I go out it seems to move and now the crosshair is in the bottom left corner! I can't go on like this as it's very embarrassing when the farmer is with you and you miss a sitter of a fox and then have to reZero in the middle of the night

This is meant to help,as to weather it does or not

(1) Is it the rifle not grouping --------could you check with a weaver mounted scope
(2) is it the total mounting system-----weaver rail loctited down, drone base to body loctited down ie guaranteed no movement in the system.
(3) is the Drone Pro not holding zero -------are the number co ordinates staying the same------this could be the above two also.

Mt Tikka 223 has a heavy mod on it, a 10mm high extra long ali weaver rail and the DP is well back on this rail partly off the action, this is loctited on, i have used a T74, but now use a T66, ive had no issue's with it holding zero (shot a little over 275 foxes in the last 2 years with it) over this period of time my number co ordinate's have moved 1 left/right, and 2 on height, for which i think is the barrel settling down.

Pity your not nearer as we could try your DP on my rifle, if there were then zero issue's we would then know that fault is either in your DP or its base fixing.

My mate has the Drone pro on a 243 with light moderator T66, and one of neils rails, he's having no problem's with zero, and he tests it at an 100m rifle range.

hi all.

had a shooting chap turn up at my office yesterday with a tikka 223 with the same issues.

I checked all the normal areas,

drone

drone mount

and found that the rear action screw was loose, when I checked zero before the checks it was about 2" low, after doing the rear action screw up the scope was then pulled down into the action and was shooting about 5" high, not much lateral movement or adjustment was needed, he was out last night and hit 3 out of 4 foxes from 80 to 230 yards.

the one he missed was at just 40 yards but so far so good,

I have 3 rifles all with the same neil mc mount....................no issues at all,22.250,222.20 tactical.

mind you I do reset the scopes from time to time, re-zero and adjust accordingly. lock and load

job done.
