Part built EVO KwikFit Add On module.

Post by some bloke » 22 Feb 2017, 13:22

I can now offer an EVO KwikFit pod which includes a cut down inside threaded EVO torch tube, brass fitting bush, drilled fitted and loctited.
The pod would also have a laminated double thickness section where the torch is fitted through it with two anti-rotation grub screws passing through it into the drilled and tapped torch tube. Plus a quick release weaver torch mount fitted and shimmed to direct the IR beam into the upper part of the monitor.

This would best suit someone who may already have an EVO type torch, 5" monitor, camera etc and be considering a self build add on, but doesn't have the means to cut down and thread their own torch tube - nor cut its 20mm fitting hole, nor create a means of preventing its rotation.

This is how the monitor is fitted into or removed from the pod if you choose to use field replaceable 18650 batteries. Or you can tack it in place with a thin smear of silicone sealant around the edges if using a permanent battery pack and charging port.

You will need one of these for each rifle you propose to fit the rig to:

This is how quickly the module would be fitted to your scope, complete with the torch self aligned rather than faffing about with figure 8 clamps etc:

You would source and fit your own preferred size EVO torch head: Observe how close this 67mm lens head is to the 56mm scope bell - so note a 75mm head would only suit a smaller objective scope.

EVO is so named because I use this EVO torch system - obtain a complete torch or individual parts of it from here:

Price is £70 + £8 RMSD P&P.

Being slightly dyslexic I'm sure I've forgotten to write something so I may be editing this post from time to time and any questions raised may lead to that editing.
