true, a standard t20 has a pretty big beam . i was thinking you might need one due to the side weaver rail...i remember someome mentioning shimmimg the mount in one thread

I have removed te locking ring from the lens now.

Screws down nicely and works a treat, keeps it that bit shorter!

Anybody recommend QR Picatinny mounts? Thinking of sticking it on me .17Rem Tikka 595...and swapping dayscope to Photon as and when I lose the light totally. It'll be ideal for that 8-)

I use Leupold Quick Release Weaver rings on my .20BR - cost circa £65. The alternative are the Talley ones but they cost twice as much.

Just to clarify...we're talking about the knurled locking ring on the doubler lens Andy.... It just unscrews backwards. As per the before and after photos of Funk's Rapid.

Not the ring inside the end of the Photon.
