Pete, you will have to add on the extra $/£ on to the US posting price for the parcel to be posted outside the US, and then also add onto that whole cost the Royal Mail redirection fee at the Birmingham Import Hub for VAT to be added onto the whole value price for that parcel to enter the UK. Your only looking at half the picture, THE TOTAL IMPORT COSTS ARE A LOT MORE THAN YOU ARE SEEING. You need to see the $/£ costs of the whole exercise.

Blueeyes.
All the control buttons on the Spitfire's remote keypad are attached back to the electronic printed circuit board via a flat clear/grey tape lead that has all of the function leads embedded in that flat clear/grey tape lead. What Pete's remote has probably failed on is the contacts that are embedded in the stick-on sandwiched plastic multi function keypad "which is a one piece stuck together unit" When it comes to repair work FoxPro replace the whole sandwiched keypad unit because it is a sealed unit and splitting the sandwiched unit would be ugly and difficult. Fizz's remote is a totally different type of remote from an earlier style of remote that has a far simpler set up and easier to get to the function contacts. A repair to power up Pete's remote to turn on and off is do'able as long as you can intercept the power lead back to the printed circuit board BUT THAT PARTICULAR KEY "IS ALSO THE CALLER SOUND SEND AND STOP SENDING KEY" AS WELL, MAKING IT A 4 FUNCTION BUTTON.
And all the above only applies as long as there are no problems with the electronic printed circuit board, I know of 3 other people with the exact same issues with the power/send key ???
Thanks
Phil

I will put the old one. I have on the bay it will help pay for the new one. Thank guys for all your help.
Pete.
Might be worth asking Bushwear when they expect their next batch of reconditioned Spitfires... they normally flog them around the £129 mark.

I much prefer the intermittent 'press to power' button functionality of my earlier Fx3 remote to the on/off Spitfire's remote - the other downside of the Spitfire's remote is that it doesn't display the track number... only what I've programmed the track name as - so as I don't know where the tracks sit in relation to the others I have to scroll through the lot 'til I find what I'm looking for. With the Fx3 I know what track relates to what number so it's easier. I suppose I could add a number to the track name but life's too short. :lolno:

Fizz, for some reason Bushwear did advertise "COMPLETELY RECONDITION FOXPRO MODELS" I remember a "NEW" Spitfire being £199.00 awhile back, you will probably find that the £129.00 price for a Spitfire is linked to those recycled units. ??? (If Bushwear have a deal with FoxPro to take some of the factory returns from FoxPro ???, that would explain the £129.0, but it seems to cheap because of the VAT element ???) The newer model to the Spitfire on the same chassis/ housing is the Fusion with a completely different remote.
