Re: New ultra lowlight camera. Wat-910HX Killer!
Hello Lambda,
> - How do you explain a such difference of prices between a WATEC910 HX and this unit?
This product is not certified as a surveillance camera, no brand, no factory warranty, and so on. Thus, this is just a homemade craft. My price is at the level or even cheaper than used Watec 902H2 Ultimate cameras sold on eBay. I think this is a very good offer.
> - Could you please describe in more details the content of the OSD, the different adjustment parameters which are available? for instance, is there a sense up/frame integration possibility?
Quite a lot of information about camera modes and OSD can be found on this page - http://occultations.org/wp/wp-content/u ... nts-v7.pdf
But my camera has a different sensor modification that has better near-infrared sensitivity.
Cheers,
Dmitrii

Hi Dmitri,
Sounds interesting Could I please ask some questions.
Are the two versions you offer, physically the same or do they have different boards? The one that has the same OSD as the Night Eagle Astro is it a modified sensor or a different sensor? Could you describe the sensitivity increase compared to the Night Eagle Astro?
Thanks
Joel

Re: New ultra lowlight camera. Wat-910HX Killer!
Hi Joel,
Cheers,
Dmitrii
The boards are almost identical, but have minor differences. For example, the instance that is currently in Bruce's possession does not have a connector for OSD remote control.
Different sensor. Look at the picture on the first page, the Night eagle has a gold border around the light-sensitive matrix, the sensor on my camera has a black border. The one that has the same OSD as the Night Eagle Astro is it a modified sensor or a different sensor?
I didn't perform side-by-side comparisons. According to the developer, this camera has a higher sensitivity in the near-infrared. I don't know if you can see this difference without special equipment.Could you describe the sensitivity increase compared to the Night Eagle Astro?
Cheers,
Dmitrii

The camera and lens that Bruce had were sold.
Other camera instances are available via eBay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/114231904659
If someone is going to buy a camera from me, please specify which option you need - Astro (4:3, with OSD) or NV (FullAuto, 16:9, no OSD).

Wow - this was very interesting to read - is it still one of the best low light sensors? How does this thing compare to the drone pro sensor ?
I am impressed how much sensors are out there.. just read an older text about surveilance cams:
https://www.asmag.com/showpost/19712.aspx
I have an older Foscam pan/tilt/zoom Cam... Surveilance Cam... 1,3 MP - i like the image of these surveilance cams a lot... or the Reolink Cams... those small CMOS sensors are also very good.
I am planing to build some "day+nightvision" wearable smartglasses... so maybe I will use a sensor with IR filter also... for daytime.... dont know yet... or maybe only nightvision.... but it seems this "910HX Killer" is a colour sensor for astro ... so it will not have a ir filter... I guess... that would be nice.
recently bought an other Yukon Ranger... sold as defect... only a few Euros... this is the perfect thing to experiment with... now I can "saw" the "housing" ... and I have a spare lens now... because I "damaged" one lens a litte bit while unscrewing it... actually its only the ring that holds the objectiv that is damaged... obviously I used to much force to unscrew... while experimenting with 50mm FUJI Lenses...
