It's a Litton filmless omni v s/n 30 -36 on model specs. Resolution is good, my pvs14 is slightly brighter but the mini 14 has less scintillation in really dark situations.

Ok thanks, i can discuss this more tomorrow. Is your pvs14 for sale ? Im looking to upgrade from my XR5 tube which im running in a pvs-7. I just want a brighter image in rural situations, XR5 is great, but just need that bit more brighter image.

My pvs 14 isn't for sale, as I use it on my rifle. The mini 14, I wouldn't use on rifles because the tube halo is smaller and possibly not recoil resistant.
XR5's are great tubes, but like you say, not as good as gen 3 in total darkness.
