With the greatest of respect Bob I don't think the sob story is suddenly going to make someone buy your rifle just so that you can get your new one! At the end of the day everything will sell at the RIGHT price, yours obviously isn't the right price? Second hand rifle values are low these days and most people would rather pay a LITTLE more and buy something like a Tikka or a Sako. Not knocking your rifle but CZ's are not sought after.
If you really want the new one you will have to be more realistic with the asking price. Good luck with shifting it and I do hope you can get the new rifle sorted, sometimes in life you have to take a hit and take less than you want to if it's a means to an end.

Cheers bud,

I think it's a cracking rifle, grassed more deer than any of my Sakos or tikkas over the past years or so, and it shoots better than my tikka ever did even with factory ammo,

I know what your saying and its no sob story, some may think its to cheap to be a good deal but I'll put this rifle up against my current very accurate 6mmbr and it will shoot just as well as it will at 100/150 yards as a deer rifle,

But thanks for the bump bud :)

I didn't mean to sound so blunt Bob and I genuinely do hope you get your rifle, I know only too well what it's like to want something and be struggling to afford it! On a side note, if your 243 shoots as well as your BR you have a problem with your BR!

No problem with any of them bud, I'm just a accuracy nutball,

You can have the hottest load on the firing point but if it's pants accuracy wise I'll out shoot people all day ;)

It took me a few loads to get the br to shoot like I wanted it too, it also took me a while to find a cracking load for the 243. Took me even longer to sort the 20 tac but I got there,

I have to admit I was going to keep it but running another 6mm just for a nv rig is a waste of time so I went for another 20 tac, it's built and waiting, I suppose I'm being rather impatient and selling a good rifle to cheap but that's me,

Bob,
I too am no stranger to custom br's bob. A good BR will piss all over any 243 period! Having spent years with br's and 243's etc and being very anal with load development all my br's have been considerably better than any 243 I have had and I have had some top ones with RPA's etc.

My .243 shoots 1/4" groups with reloaded ammo at 100m and 1/2" with quality factory ammo so I can't quite agree with the statement..... You can only speak as you find. If I set this rifle up as a pure Bench Rest rifle it would shoot smaller groups. I'm shooting off a bipod with a rear sand bag. Still wishing you the best with the sale Bob. :)

Not getting into a dick measuring contest but Kevin have you ever had a quality 6MM BR? I doubt it to be honest otherwise you would recognise the accuracy difference. Why do you think the 243 never wins anything in bench rest target shooting? It's because it's not as accurate as the likes of the 6MM BR that is fact.

If it shoots legal quarry first time every time then it's accurate enough  I don't think Mr Fox is going to complain it's a 1/4" off target

Why spend thousands of £££ and many hours on something you'll never use, it would be like buying a Ferrari to nip to Aldi in.

Just my view .......... but then again, I'm easily pleased 8-)

Cheers lads,

I use a br and as it name states Bench Rest, it's so accurate it's silly this is my 2nd one, I also use a 243 and it shoots so well it's silly,

I know the br would out shoot it all day long, but what I'm saying is simple, the 243 as a stalking performs far better than I expected it to,in fact if someone wants to Coe and shoot it before I strip the scope off then please do,

My asking price of this rifle with a moderator and rings is far lower than I paid for the rifle so I think it's a great deal for someone, but for someone to jump on the thread and have a go was not expected or needed,

So.

If anyone is interested in what in my eyes is a cracking stalking rifle ( not a bench rest comp rifle) then its still here and Its still for sale at a silly price,

£410 shipped,

Please note: if you have no interest in the sale above,

THEN PLEASE DON'T POST ON MY THREAD,

THANK YOU,

Regards

Bob.
