Genesis:
1) You are correct, I was mis-reading the RM website. Postage to Australian for up to 2 kilos is 24.65.
2) I was not suggesting that you pay the postage, I was suggesting that my mate should pay the postage if he wants it, which he does.
3) Do you normally suggest people commit obscene acts in your online communications?

Feedback:
Genisis22 posted the scope the next day, well packed with bubble wrap, an inner box, more bubble wrap, an outer box and lots of reinforcing tape. It arrived undamaged and in good working order today. A good gent to deal with.

Nope. If its going to be handled by minimum wage drones, chucked in a truck, chucked off a truck, chucked on a conveyor, dropped off a conveyor, chucked in an airfreight container, undergo 24 hours of flight at odd angles and turbulence while jostling with other packages, then under go the reverse process at my end, that's the way to pack it. As it was the outer box was somewhat distorted but the contents were good.
Txted my mate that I have it. Till he gets back to me its mine to play with. Mwahahahah!
