WANTED : someone with a lathe

Post by paulham » 29 Sep 2013, 20:11

Hello everyone, asking for a favour.

I need a t20 pill modified on a lathe, it needs the recess where the driver sits into deeper so that the double stack PCB driver will fit.

Ill include a stamped envelope so that it can be popped into the postbox at no cost.

Here's the pic

Cheers
Paul

It's probably be quicker and cheaper to buy a blank off Ian and ask him to skim it out a tad TBH.

That way if there are any mishaps he would be able to replace it.

if you have a even small drill press, with a rotatable table?

you could just chuck up a small "milling bit" that cuts a flat hole going DOWN IN, then simply rotate the table very slowly...

or, just the right size bit that drills a flat bottomed hole would do it... actually, since you are only moving the shoulder down, your only worried about the sides of the bit...
Well, I understand that, boys... but see, my CAT gets the silly idea you're making fun of HIM... then he gets, *really* mean...
