I've now moved onto the latest Pard 007 and a Pulsar thermal spotter so I'm selling my old NV kit that has served me well for the last few years rat shooting from 10 to 25 yards.
It's a Sony camcorder DCR-SR35 with the nightshot and nightshot plus settings.
These have been selling on the bay of evil for between £50 and £70.
I first used this with an Eaglevision SHR-39 adaptor combined with a Eaglevision CCT-20 coupler and a 30mm camera adaptor to allow me to fit the camcorder directly onto my MTC viper pro. This 3-way adaptor will allow the camcorder to fit any other scopes with a 39mm eye relief thread. The ir was not good enough on the camcorder alone, so I used a Ludicrous Lumens UF-T20 ir torch, but, the double length version that takes 2 18650 batteries.
This set up, along with the torch scope mount, allowed me to shoot rats no problems in my garden 10-20 yards.
When I got the Pard I decided to use the camera as a spotter, so I adapted a 5 slot picatinny rail and fitted it to the bottom of the camcorder and attached a Tac-Light stylee weaver compression torch fitting so I could hand hold the whole unit. This allowed me to spot out to 20/25 yards.
You can also buy, if wanted, a further adaptor that I bought from Ant Supplies, that will allow this configuration to fit on a tripod, using a standard tripod thread. The one I have is not included in the sale.
I'm only selling this lot as I've upgraded and hope this will suit someone on a lower budget as it did me.
The camcorder and all its cables comes in a top quality, two pocket padded Canon camera bag. It comes with the original battery, plus two after market batteries and a USB charger. The torch comes with two 18650 batteries. I'll also throw in a decent XTAR charger for the 18650's
It also comes with all the mounts and adaptors I used to allow for scope fitting and stand alone ir spotter.
All the kit, as always by me, has been meticulously looked after and so is in very, very, good condition.
It also comes with a micro SD adaptor as the Sony camcorders use the Memory Stick Pro Duo cards, however, the camcorder has a large capacity Hard Drive, so if you want to use it for recording, as well as just shooting or spotting, there is plenty of MB's to play with!
Any inspection or trial is welcome before purchase. I'm based in Norwich, Norfolk.
The only thing not included is the original hand strap on the camcorder. This just got in the way both on the scope and as a spotter.
It's removal meant it couldn't be refitted.
£80.00 plus postage of your choice.
Please ask if you have any questions.
Many thanks for looking.
I can't seem to attach anymore than one photo.
