Has anyone got first hand experience using 1 of these, as I quite fancy trying 1,how do they compare to the pard 008 lrf

Yes I hope someone answers your question I have been looking at those myself to me they look a bit chunky and old-fashioned but if they work very good does it matter I hope somebody replies to your post I will keep my eye on the post

I sent mine back as the sensor is very ir sensitive and didn't work well with my Sirius XTL 850nm. When I did get a usable image it was very good on base mag but degraded badly using digital mag making long range I'd challenging. The built in ir and additional ir mounted on the other side made the rifle feel unbalanced and bulky. I went for a LL Vulpine mk3 add on mounted on a Optisan EVX 5-20 x 50 in the end and I'm well pleased.

Thanks for that info, think I will pass on them, how to you find the LL Vulpine MK3, as they seem to be a lot shorter than the pard 007

Really pleased with it only 85mm added to the back of the scope so the scope is mounted correct for day use and my head position is the same with the Vulpine on (the Optisan has 100mm eye relief). It hasn't got all the bells and whistles of the Pard 007(and more expensive) but the sight picture is really good and fills the whole screen and you can see out a long way 600 yrds+. I think some people have found the N470 works better with a 940nm ir but for me who does all my foxing on foot it saves a lot of walking if you can ID at distance.

I am the same as most of the foxes I shoot are 200 yards plus, I got the pard 007, and the 008, I find them both good, but fancy trying something else
