Post by Trevf » 10 May 2020, 10:34

Hi guys, I hope you are all keeping well.

I am after a Bushnell Elite 6500 3-12x44 or 2.5-16x42 if anyone has one they no longer need.

Must be in very good - excellent condition please.

Many thanks
Trev

I was hoping it was going to be the tactical version.

No worries, the large exposed turrets are only on the Elite Scopes not the 6500 series (which are a higher grade) and a wider mag.
Here's a pic with the caps off ...

The Mil0dot reticule does me for up to 95yds with the Daystate (not that I am that accurate at those distances). I was considering putting it on my 17HMR the Mildot ret reads 100, 193, 249. 292 out to 349 @ 10X @ 9 it's 100, 200, 260, 305 etc... i've never felt the need for raised turrets, the Mildot ret and Stelok Pro does all I need and once set never loses POi

Thanks for taking the time to add the pics. I did have a 2.5-16x42 tactical some years ago.

Ideally this is what I am after.

Changed my mind, gonna look for a pard 008 instead if anyone has one for sale.

You are in a very long que, there are some coming in at the end of this month .... add-ons are good too, you can move them beteeen rifles quickly and easily (ie without needing to re-zero etc), I have a Ward800L which flits between the Air rifle, .22, 17HMR and a .22-250. I've even tried it on the .25-06

Dedicated are just that but add-ons are much more versatile. I carry the Ward in my bag so that if it gets late I still have vision.
The Busnell is really good with add-on BTW :)

I have 3 guns, unfortunately the add on will only work with whatever scope I buy for the add on, I have a pard 007 if I want it, they way I see it is though, cost of scope and cost of pard,I may as well buy dedicated and have 1 gun as a dedicated NV rig.

I am surprised there aren't more second hand 008s available, especially with the new one coming out.

I spoke directly to pard this morning and can order the 008 plus directly delivered to my door, but it will take a while and tax on top no doubt, but they are £565

Blackwood will sell you a Pard800 for less than £600, yours will be £565 + inport duty @ 7% (£604.55 + vat = £725.46) are you sure you have that right @Trevf ?
