Without hijacking your post viewers might be interested in the following, I recently did a comparison test with the MK1 and Mk2,image wise there was nothing to choose between them at all, the MK1 seemed to have a slightly bigger field of view and the cross hairs seemed clearer. I would have no issue buying the MK1 over the MK2, I take it that the price would be quite a bit higher for the 10 times MK2 and by the seem of all you are getting is a Christmas tree reticle which is not on the MK1. I would guess with a software update it would go on.
